If I already have a Standard Warranty,

Why do I need to buy ADDED Service Contracts
During
my warranty period?

 

Hardware Maintenance Support contracts provide a much higher level of support than is available through standard warranties.

-  First off, warranties are usually good for 90 days or one year, depending on the product/manufacturer.  After that you will need a service contract to provide continued coverage.

- There are significant differences between a warranty on a piece of equipment and a service contract covering that same piece of equipment. There are a variety of features and options such as IOS Software and TAC support available through service contracts which may  not be covered under standard warranties.

- Support contract services provide more robust levels of support than what is available under a warranty. For most products, warranties are limited in duration (as detailed specifically by product type), whereas support service programs can be purchased to deliver support and maintenance for several years past the warranty period.
