If I already have a Standard Warranty,

Why do I need to buy added Service Contracts during my warranty period?

 

Hardware Maintenance Support contracts provide a much higher level of support than is available through standard warranties.

-  First off, warranties are usually good for 90 days or one year, depending on the product/manufacturer.  After that you will need a service contract to provide continued coverage.

- There are significant differences between a warranty on a piece of equipment and a service contract covering that same piece of equipment. There are a variety of features and options such as IOS Software and TAC support available through service contracts which may  not be covered under standard warranties.

- Support contract services provide more robust levels of support than what is available under a warranty.
